Neil Dickman, the founder of the business, read History at Warwick University and worked in one of the largest international car rental companies in customer service for over a decade. Having lived in the heart of the Cotswolds for some years, Neil felt that there was an opportunity to link his experience in the transport industry with his fondness for the area.

The Shire was formed with the aim of providing a professional, dedicated and reliable transport service to both residents and visitors.

Andrew Hope has spent 25 years in the hospitality industry, working in some of the finest luxury hotels in the world. He returned to the UK to run a Country House in the Cotswolds. Having now lived in this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with his family and working in various services industries, he sees the importance of "Quality  in Service" in the travel industry.
